Our Privacy Promise
TotalPayOff was built on a single, unshakeable principle: your financial information is yours and yours alone. We believe that people dealing with debt deserve a tool they can trust completely — one that helps them without asking for anything in return, especially not their personal data.
We do not have a database. We do not have user accounts. We do not track you. We do not know who you are, where you live, or what loans you have. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to send it for calculation processing — and even then, it is transmitted securely, processed momentarily, and never stored.
What Data We Process
When you use the TotalPayOff calculator, you enter information about your loans and credit accounts: account names, outstanding balances, interest rates, interest types, and remaining tenures. This data is used solely to perform mathematical calculations and generate your debt consolidation statement.
We do not collect:
- Your name, address, phone number, email, or any contact information
- Your identification numbers, passport details, or tax IDs
- Your banking credentials, passwords, or login information
- Your browsing history, IP address, or device fingerprint
- Cookies for tracking or advertising personalization
How Your Data Is Stored
All account information you enter is stored exclusively in your web browser's localStorage. This is a storage area on your own computer or phone, managed entirely by your browser. We have no access to it. Our servers cannot read it. If you clear your browser data or cache, your entries are removed. If you do not clear them, they remain available when you return to the site.
This design choice means:
- We cannot see your data — even if we wanted to
- We cannot lose your data — because we never had it
- We cannot sell your data — because it is not on our servers
- We cannot be hacked for your data — because it is not in our systems
Calculation Processing
To protect our proprietary calculation logic and intellectual property, certain mathematical computations are processed through a secure Cloudflare Worker API. When you add or modify an account, the relevant numerical data (balances, rates, tenures) is transmitted to our calculation engine via encrypted HTTPS.
Important: This transmission is encrypted end-to-end. The data is processed instantaneously to generate results and is never written to disk, logged, or retained in any form. The Worker operates in a completely stateless manner — no database, no storage, no session tracking. The moment the calculation is complete, the data disappears from our infrastructure.
Third-Party Services
TotalPayOff may display advertisements through Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. These ads are served based on the content of the page (contextual advertising) rather than your personal data. We do not share your account information with advertisers.
Google AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your general browsing patterns across websites that use their service. You can control or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings.
Your Rights Under GDPR and PDPA
Because TotalPayOff does not collect or store personal data on our servers, many traditional data subject rights (such as the right to access, rectify, or erase data we hold about you) are not applicable in the conventional sense — we simply do not hold your data.
However, you retain full control over your information:
- Right to deletion: Remove individual accounts using the delete button, or clear your browser's localStorage/cache to erase all data
- Right to portability: Your data is already on your device in a readable format within your browser
- Right to object: You can stop using the service at any time, and your data remains on your device until you choose to remove it
If you have any privacy concerns or questions about how we handle data, please contact us at [email protected].

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
